The D185 is a two-seater ULM with a tail-wheel landing gear, amateur-built in wood and canvas, from the famous JODEL aircraft range.

After a few flights with the new DURANDAL propeller, I’m able to provide you with some figures:
Jodel D18 ultralight, Rotax 912 UL (80cv), 1 person on board, and 40 l of fuel
Durandal 3 170cm propeller DUR-3-170-C4-T
Takeoff in 80 m, climb rate 1,700 ft/min at 110 km/h.
Cruise: 4,200 rpm: 150 km/h, 9.5 liters/h
4,500 rpm: 170 km/h, 12 liters/h
4,800 rpm: 185 km/h, 15 liters/h
5,000 rpm: 200 km/h, 17 liters/h
Performance is excellent, far exceeding what I experienced with my previous propeller (NR-PROP, not to name names...), with an average gain of 20 km/h at cruising speed while maintaining the same RPM and fuel consumption!!!
The improvement in takeoff performance is less obvious but still significant.
The engine is also much smoother, and shutdowns are much more seamless...

DURANDAL-2
Everything went very well and the assembly was done very quickly. In fact you thought of your customers before anything else and it is felt during the assembly, all the details with the stickers etc... BRAVO.
I do not tell you the pleasure in flight moreover. No more vibrations, a very responsive engine, a higher speed at the same engine speed.
To tell you, it is not the same aircraft anymore.

DURANDAL-3
This propeller is perfect for my Rotax 100hp! It is well adapted to the D185. I just regret the aesthetics of the wood, but I've noticed that the performance is better with the adjustable carbon. Safety and performance are at this price!
