MAGNI M24 ORION

The M24 Orion is a fully streamlined side-by-side two-seater, a dual-control model specially designed for those who wish to combine pleasure and comfort. With E-Props, this gyro is ready for both short flights close to home and long-distance travels.

There are two of us on board, and I'm not the lightest man on the planet at 88 kg.
The flight took place in 20 kts of wind.
We plan to do a few flights before switching to 21.4° to get 1400 rpm on the first climb. Mainly to see how it behaves in temperatures over 30°C. This propeller pushes better than the original, and with a more pleasant, slightly quieter sound.
For the moment, I'm keeping this Excalibur and I don't think I'll go back to the original.

Since I've been using the E-Prop 4-blade on my Magni Rotax 915iS, I've gained nearly 15 km/h in cruising speed, going from 160 to 175 km/h. And all without forcing the engine. It's a truly revolutionary propeller! Less vibration, less noise. Just perfect. It's a pity it's not offered as standard by the gyro manufacturer, but it's probably only a matter of time :-)

I think I've now found the perfect setting for my propeller, so far I'm completely satisfied with this model. I think it performs as well as the 6-blade I had before.
For information, the setting that suits me is 23.2° for an Autogire M 24 Plus.

I have finally finished the test on the 5 blade propeller for the Magni M16+ and M24+ gyros with Rotax 915iS engine.
I tried to do these tests rigorously. As you will see, with the E Props, you gain about 1 m/s in climb rate and about 100 engine revolutions at the same speed. But above all, as with the 6-blade E-Props, it's the enjoyment that I remember and obviously the lighter weight on the motor gearbox.

My Orion is very performant with the 6blade eprop. I'm based in altitude and it's difficult to find a propeller for this use. The noise of this propeller is different and characteristic.
