E-PROPS: Manuals & Technical Documentations

Propellers are not "accessories": before assembly and use, read and follow the manuals and instructions below.

This page brings together the manuals for each range, various technical documentation, and CAD files (stp).

Updated Service Bulletins and Service Letters are on the Certifications & Approvals page.

1 — Durandal & ExcaliburV20 assembly manual, EPGU3 certified model

V20 range manual

All DURANDAL & EXCALIBUR V20 range models, ground-adjustable pitch, carbon-titanium, currently in production.

EASA certified model: EPGU3-Durandal

DURANDAL 3-blade, ground-adjustable pitch, in Carbon with Titanium leading edge protection, 8 diameters from 155 cm to 190 cm, for Rotax 912S (100 hp). Type Certificate EASA P.512 — see Certifications.

2 — Glorieuseinstallation and maintenance manuals, regulators, videos

Manuals of the Constant Speed GLORIEUSE, in-flight variable pitch propellers:

3 — Ascaloninstallation and maintenance manual

ASCALON propellers, ground-adjustable pitch, for Lycoming & Continental direct-drive engines.

4 — V12 rangeassembly manual, spinners, screws ploughing effect, fixation system — no longer produced since 2019
The V12 range (hub in 2 parts, blades with Nanostrength leading edge protection) was manufactured between February 2012 and October 2019, and is no longer in production. Please note: V12 blades cannot be mounted on V20 hubs (the cylindrical part of the blade root is too short), but V20 blades can be mounted on V12 hubs.

V12 spinner installation

- Installation and operating instructions, V12 standard spinners
- Installation and operating instructions, V12 mini-spinners

Screws ploughing effect

Ploughing effect is the contact between the smooth part of the screw and the end of the threading — not always easily detectable. To check whether E-Props hub screws are affected, simply take two measurements as described in the PDF document.

Fixation system

Details on the characteristics of the various parts, the design office's technical choices, and the assembly/inspection instructions for the V12 fixation system.

5 — Various technical documentationNG-D, repair kit, tachometer, aircraft list, Rotax data

- NG-D propellers: manual
- Kit repair manual
- The tachometer: an instrument to be calibrated seriously
- Aircraft equipped with E-Props propellers
- Performance data for Rotax 912 (80 hp): rpm, performance, torque, manifold pressure (Rotax document)
- Performance data for Rotax 912s (100 hp): rpm, performance, torque, manifold pressure (Rotax document)

6 — CAD files (stp)Durandal/Excalibur/Glorieuse blades, hubs, E-Screen, spinners, spacer
For obvious reasons of design confidentiality, the blade files below are not the exact blade shapes: they are provided for marketing rendering on CAD of aircraft / engine fairings, and should not be used for efficiency calculations. The spinner and spacer files, on the other hand, are the exact shapes.
