The Avid Flyer is a family of American single engine, high-wing, strut-braced, conventional landing gear-equipped, two seat ultralight aircraft designed for kit construction in the 1980s. Its several variants sold in large numbers. In 1987 an Avid Flyer became the first ultralight to land at the North Pole.

E-Props Users Feedback on the AVID FLYER :

DURANDAL-3
Here is the Avidflyer (MARK-IV, STOL, wingspan 9.20m, wing area 11m2) equipped with your Durandal Propeller diameter 1.80 m, with a Rotax 912 ULS2 100 HP.
First propeller pitch recommended by you, 21.3°, pitch actually done on the 3 blades 20.6/20.6/20.7.
Test conditions this Saturday 17/10/2020: null wind, 10° ext, measured with a needle badin and a vario with needle; the GPS not yet used for this test often confirms the values in null wind.
Takeoff on grassy, bumpy ground, slightly rising slope, between white lines 250 meters, +- 100 meters for takeoff.
Result :
- takeoff with full engine load at 5350 rpm, full load landing at 5500 rpm.
- Climbing speed: full engine load after take-off landing, 10.5 m/s at 100 km/h (404 kgs, aircraft, 1 pilot, 30 liters of fuel) at 5300 rpm.
- Climbing speed : full engine load after take-off, 6.8 m/s at 110 km/h (at the maximum load of 482 kgs) at 5300 t/m.
- Ideal cruise 150 km/h at 4300 r/m.
- The maximum speed reaches 205 km/h at 5500 rpm (VNE 217 km/h).
This Avid is a real STOL ULM!
Your propeller, extraordinary traction, no vibration, no noise!
Super satisfied, I recommend it!
You have developed a very good product, quality, efficiency, thank you!

DURANDAL-3
Good propeller for my Avid Flyer which has an 80 hp Rotax engine. I like the carbon finish.

DURANDAL-2
Perfect: I solved my vibration problem thanks to your propeller. Thank you very much for your help.

DURANDAL-3
Thank you for your sound advice and excellent products. I mounted the propeller on my Avid Flyer and I am happy with the results.

VORPALINE-3
The propeller allowed me to recover 300 rpm at takeoff (that's what I wanted) and its cruising speed at 2850 - 2900 rpm (I had 2750 with the old propeller) allows me to maintain my speed of 90 mph with the same fuel consommation.
At this speed, it behaves well and is pleasant. Some impressions of resonance in the transient phases probably due to its flexibility, which I did not have with my wood propeller.
In any case I am satisfied with it !
