Spinners for E-PROPS propellers

E-PROPS manufactures propellers spinners in carbon, very strong and ultra-light. They are proposed in carbon finish, cutted, well-balanced and ready to assemble.

1- Spinner description

A complete set of E-PROPS V20 range spinners is composed of the spinner, its mounting plate and the necessary screws.
These spinners are designed for the V20 range of tractor and pusher propellers (DURANDAL & EXCALIBUR).
They are made in carbon fabric + epoxy resin.
The E-Props spinners are ultra-light. Example : spinner diameter 250 mm with its mounting plate and screws = 465 g

2- Spinner diameters

Spinner diameter is depending on the engine cover of the aircraft.
The E-Props spinners exit in 15 diameters.
If you hesitate between two sizes, take the smaller, for a better air flow on the engine cover.

Please note : the 210 mm diameter spinner do not fit on the 4-blade and 5-blade E-Props propellers.
The hubs of these models are too big for this diameter.

3- Spinner assembly

The E-Props spinners of the V20 range are mounted on a drilled plate positioned on the spacer.
This set is very light and extremely strong.
They are suitable for all configurations of E-PROPS V20 spacers.


The E-Props V20 range spinners are held on their plate by 9 M5 x 16 screws. Tightening torque = 5 N.m
E-PROPS has chosen screws with domed head, slotted, to allow dismantling the spinner with a simple coin (if no tools are available).

In some cases, in order to balance the spinner and plate assembly, one or more washers are glued into the spinner by E-PROPS.
Under no circumstances should they be removed or replaced, otherwise the balance of the spinner would no longer be assured and vibrations could occur.
On the spinner, a yellow sticker indicates : "Do not remove - balancing weight".

4- Spinner finition / Paint

To date, E-PROPS V20 spinners are available in carbon, bright polished.
Unpaintedgel-coat or varnished finishes.

The pilot can paint his spinner if he wishes.
To do so, the surface of the spinner must be deglazed, i.e. sanded very lightly (600 grit sandpaper) to create a good grip for the paint.
The recommended paint is a two-component polyurethane. A well sanded primer is necessary for a nice finish.

Be careful not to overload the spinner during the painting process.
It is necessary to keep a light hand and to distribute well the layers of primer and paint.

5- Archives : V12 range spinners

=> As of December 2019, E-PROPS has stopped manufacturing the V12 spinners (and mini spinners).
We have no more V12 spinners in stock.
They have been replaced by the V20 spinners.
This is an evolution of the range. The V20 spinners are faster to manufacture and are lighter than the V12 spinners. Their finish is also more aesthetic.
