September 2024 : here the new aircraft bought by E-Props for the tests in flight (the propeller is not the good one yet...)
Aerobatic aircraft Bilouis from Louis Pena (French Designer) - Engine Lycoming 180 hp
E-PROPS is working hard on a wide range of propellers for direct drive engines (without gearbox).
Concerned engines: first for
Continental, Lycoming, then for UL Power, Limbach, D-Motor, Sauer...
Powers:
from 80 hp to 300 hp
==> This range of propellers is not yet available on the market.
Release date: the first models, for Continental and Lycoming, are scheduled to go on sale soon.
We understand - and share - your impatience.
Releasing a new range that is much more efficient than what is currently on the market inevitably takes time.
To reach this target, we have developed a new software :
LUKY SOFTWARE.
This software is a model of the type lifting line for the speed of execution, in order to allow the exploration of the domain of possible propellers
with the help of an evolutionary algorithm (metaheuristic), in order to automate the search for propeller solutions (mechanical and aerodynamic dimensioning)
for a given problem.
Thousands of hours of code by highly specialized engineers were required. This software represents an exceptional step forward in the development of equally
exceptional propellers.
Update November 2024 :
- mechanical testing of the first models of this range of propellers has been carried out to EASA CS-P standards.
The parts largely meet the recommended loads, with large margins, as always at E-Props.
- the E-Props team has bought an aircraft with a direct-drive engine (Lycoming 180 hp) to carry out all the flight test campaigns.
The aim is firstly to measure performance in detail, and then to carry out the endurance tests required by the EASA CS-P standard.
You can be sure that we are doing our best to industrialize, test then market this range as soon as possible.
Soon more news !
