E-PROPS ASCALON : CARBON-TITANIUM PROPELLERS for DIRECT DRIVE ENGINES

E-PROPS is working hard on a wide range of propellers for direct drive engines (without gearbox) from 80 to 300hp.
It's the range ASCALON.
These propellers are made in VHR [Very High Resistance] Carbon with Titanium leading edge protection. 2, 3 and 4 blades models.
The first models are Ground Adjustable pitch. Later ranges of in-flight variable pitch (CS) propellers will be also offered.
Ultra-light, very strong, with innovative blade profiles and offering exceptionally high performance and TBO.
Propellers for Jabiru 2.2 and 3.3, Volkswagen & derivatives, UL Power, Limbach, Sauer, D-Motor... to follow, also as soon as possible
Our aim is to thoroughly test all models, in-house and/or with partners, and then to market numerous propeller models for, eventually, all direct-drive engines.
Work on EASA CS-P & FAA 14 CFR PART 35 certification of these models and tests to obtain numerous STCs are being carried out in parallel.
100% carbon hub : very high strength, no material mixing and no cracks
Adapted profiles and chords: multi-objective optimization
100% carbon blades + titanium leading edge protection
We understand - and share - your impatience.
Releasing a new range that is much more efficient than what is currently on the market inevitably takes time.
To reach this target, we have developed a new software : LUKY SOFTWARE.
This software is a model of the type lifting line for the speed of execution, in order to allow the exploration of the domain of possible propellers
with the help of an evolutionary algorithm (metaheuristic), in order to automate the search for propeller solutions (mechanical and aerodynamic dimensioning)
for a given problem.
Thousands of hours of code by highly specialized engineers were required. This software represents an exceptional step forward in the development of equally
exceptional propellers.
17 years' experience in innovative carbon propellers means we can always go further...
You can be sure that we are doing our best to industrialize, test then market this range as soon as possible.
As new propeller models become available, we will detail them on this site.
=> PS: no release date or price yet - please be patient, it's coming soon...
Would you like to help us ?
We are looking for out-of-service engines, or crankshaft + connecting rod + piston assemblies.
These parts may differ according to the models (and sub-models) of each type of engine, and these differences influence the resonances generated and the
consequences on the propellers.
The aim is to scan the parts and integrate this data into our LUKY SOFTWARE.
We are looking for :
- Lycoming O-320
- Continental O-200 (it seems we found one)
- Continental O-320
- Jabiru 4 and 6 cylinders
- UL-Power (all models)
Other HS direct-drive engines or parts (crankshaft / connecting rod / piston) are welcome.
We are of course ready to buy them at a reasonable price.
